Jennifer Green showed her tough character and winning mentality when she powered her way to victory in the 16 years 400m freestyle and taking Wigan BEST first gold medal of the week at the English Nationals in Sheffield, her winning time of 4:28.69 was massive pb time.
In the 14 years 200m breaststroke final Maddie Bailey showed her strength in a close fought final finishing in fantastic time of 2:42.52 missing gold by 0.20 second taking a super silver medal.
Olivia Sheehan reduced her 100m butterfly time to a superb 1:05.65 taking 5th place in 14 years event. In the men’s 1500 freestyle Declan Hall came home in 7th place in a pb of 17:02.77. In the 50m backstroke Dec produced another pb of 27.69 finishing 8th.
13 year old Aimee Crompton-Hesford had a life time best of 31.92 in making the final of the 50m backstroke. Aimee went to finish in an excellent 8th place in the evening’s final. In the 17 year and over 200m individual medley Charlotte Nester had a great swim fighting a hard final pushing all the way coming home in 5th place 2:23.44. In the 17 years and over 400m freestyle Jodie Gittins produced her best swim finishing in an excellent 4:27.35.
