Wigan Best Future Stars 11th Open Meet 2022
Date: Friday 14th, Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th October 2022
Venue: Wigan Life Centre, College Avenue, Wigan, WN1 1NJ
Events: Events include 50m, 100m, 200m on all strokes, 100m, 200m, 400m individual medley, 400m, 800m(girls), 1500m(boys) freestyle.
Level: Licensed at level 2 – 2NW221978
Age: As the last day of the competition, Sunday 16th October 2022.
Entries: To be submitted via the Swimming Results online entry system only.

Warmup & Programme

The small pool will be available for swim down. This pool is 15m long and a depth of 0.9m. We ask that swimmers use this pool for the purpose of swim down only and limit swim downs to 10mins. NO DIVING
Withdrawals
All withdrawals must be made via the online form and must be made 50 minutes prior to the start of the session the event is in.
Passphrase for the form is pies.
Spectators
After reviewing the spectator numbers in the Wigan Life Centre, the meet will run a normal door and there is no need to purchase tickets in advance.
Entry Fees (per person)
Friday Evening – £5.00
Saturday & Sunday All day, £10.00, if you leave before the start of the afternoon session you get £5.00 refund.
Saturday & Sunday PM – £5.00.
No concessions.
It will be cash door, if you can please ensure you bring the correct amount it will help speed entry up.
Although we are not limiting numbers per family, we ask that you are considerate to other parents wishing to spectate.
Camping, folding or other temporary chair are not allowed inside the Wigan Life centre.
Officials
As a Level 2 meet all officials must be qualified and because of this we heavily rely on supporting club’s volunteers assisting us with officiating duties. If any officials are able to help with a day, a morning, a single session please can you either leave you availability on officials finder or email officials@wiganbest.com
We are offering full expenses, food and drink provided, breakfast for the early sessions, plus if you are qualified official and the parent or guardian of a child swimming in the session you officiating, we will refund the cost of your entries for that session. Thank you.
Accepted Entries
I am pleased to announce that we have had to make no rejections this year and all submitted entries have been accepted.
We are very low on officials and currently could only run the meet with 6 lanes making very, very long sessions, please could any officials please contact us below.
Poolside Passes
Coaches passes are can be purchases on the link below.
Select the number of passes you need, then below enter the names and Swim England numbers of the coaches/team managers who need to use those passes.
If you purchase two passes for the weekend with have two people attending on Saturday and two different people on the Sunday you will need to put all four people’s names and Swim England’s numbers in the box.

Named pass holder will be checked and anyone not meeting the criteria will not be able to access the venue, please ensure you check yourself or provide evidence if you Swim England profile is not up to date.
Entries
Entries are now CLOSED.
All entries are to be submitted individually via the Swimming Results entry system. Updated times will not be accepted your entry is final, if you are registered to multiple clubs please ensure you select the club you wish to represent at this meet correctly. All or part of the event could be live streamed, by entering you agree to be photographed and videoed, please contact us if you have any concerns.
There is no advantage to entering the event early, the meet is based on the fastest times submitted and is not a first come first serve meet. The time you submit is the time used.
